We are on a mission to complete the purchase and conversion of a Mosque and Community Centre for Syrian & Local, but time is running out. We only have 300 days to secure the remaining funds and make this dream a reality.

Fatima’s Wish for the Masjid

Fatima, an excited 8-year-old, had one big dream—to learn Quran and Arabic, and to make friends with other Muslim girls. She often watched videos of children reciting Quran, their voices sweet and clear. Fatima longed to be like them, to learn in an Islamic environment where she could grow in her faith, surrounded by people who understood her.

Her neighborhood didn’t have Masjid. She felt alone sometimes, yearning for a place where she could belong. One evening, Fatima told her mother, “I want to go to a Madrasa, Mama. I want to learn Quran and meet other girls like me.”

Her mother smiled softly. “There’s a new Masjid being built nearby. Soon, they’ll have a Madrasa. It will be a place for you to learn, make friends, and be part of a community.”

Fatima’s heart leaped with joy. The thought of a Masjid nearby meant everything—a place where she could learn to read the Quran, speak Arabic, and meet girls her age. When the Masjid finally will open, it will change everything for her family. Fatima will make friends, her parents will find a community, and they all will grow closer to their faith.
