The Mid North Coast Muslim Association is seeking your assistance to finalise settlement for a property that will serve as a central prayer and events space for the growing community in Port Macquarie - now home to over 1,000 Muslims. The community has been renting various spaces for years but has never had its own central space to gather.

Alhamdulillah, we have raised $150,000 but still need $550,000 to reach our goal of buying the property and making it usable for prayer and uniting our Community.

The vision of MiCMA is to build a better community for all Australians through the involvement and empowerment of Muslims in the Mid North Coast and Port Macquarie.

Our Mission

The mission of the MiCMA is to establish a dynamic and interactive Muslim community that contributes to and enriches the harmony and multiculturalism of the Australian community at large, and in particular, to foster and promote social contact and cooperation among Muslims and non-Muslims; to promote peace, understanding, and good relations among all people in Port Macquarie, the Mid North Coast and Australia.

Our Project

Our hope is to ensure that the teachings and message of Islam creates a spirit of understanding and harmony for the Muslim community in the MidNorth Coast in particular, but also Australian society as a whole. MiCMA aims to provide a place of worship for Muslims and a place of learning and cultural awareness for both Muslims & Non-Muslims.

From the time of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) — the mosque has been the central focus of the Muslim community. Indeed, the Prophet’s mosque in Medina was not just a prayer facility, it was a multipurpose family-centered institution that served as a school, a meeting place, and a venue for events and other celebrations. Building on this powerful heritage, our objective is to establish an Islamic centre for the Muslims in the Mid-North Coast that will help shape the identity of future generations of proud Australian Muslims while helping with integration into the wider Australian community.
