What is National Waqf?

National Waqf is a UK registered charity which has been established to solve the funding needs of the UK charity space. A waqf is a type of Sadaqah Jariyah and in relation to this, The Prophet ﷺ said: "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Sahih Muslim)

Our Donation Model

Our donation model, as you will be able to see below, takes donations, we invest these donations into income generating assets, half the returns on these investments are then used to give grants our to verified UK causes/projects and the half is re-invested so the pot continues to grow and your donation is never ending - Sadaqah Jariyah in its true form.

What have we as National Waqf achieved so far?

Alhamdulillah through community events and fundraising dinners we have managed to purchase 3 properties and are on the verge of buying a 4th property, currently this is generating a return of more than £4,000/monthly. 

Alhamdulillah in addition to this we have also given out grants of more than £150,000 as you can see below.

Do we accept Zakat donations?

At National Waqf, we only collect Lillah/Sadaqah donations. If you would like to donate Zakat, our participants for the London Marathon 2025 have nominated the 2 charities below to donate to:
