It with heavy hearts that we announce the return of our dear Brother Mohammad Saleem to his Creator early this morning (10th December 2023).

Becoming Family

I had the pleasure of first meeting Saleem Bhai when my son married his daughter a little over 8 years ago. Through the union of our beautiful children- we became family- as though we'd been that way for generations. 
In that short space of time, I have received so much love from the Saleem family and Br Saleem himself. He raised his children and grandchildren alongside Baji Azra to exemplary standards. 

He was one of the most selfless men.

Despite being of my parents generation, Br Saleem was able to engage with all generations in a manner that left seeds of sadaqa jaaria everywhere- always positive, motivational and encouraging. He was one of the most selfless men I've ever met in this life- always looking out for others and being a source of ease, aafiyah and lifting up others- including me, all around him. 

We want to honour his legacy in a manner that befits his generous nature and strong commitment to those in need. We have set up a legacy campaign for a water well in the first instance. Saleem Bhai has always supported the work of our team in all the time I've known him- but his generosity for charitable deeds is only coming to light now- after his passing. Through the many voices who testify how much of a loved soul to Allah swt he was and through the very many people he supported through his generosity. 

RasulAllah ﷺ 

said that water is one of the best forms of sadqa jaaria. We want this water well to be a lasting source of blessings that reaches our beloved Brother in Barzakh and beyond. Please share the campaign far and wide. May it be a source of continuous charity for us all eternally....Ameen. 
 

Our ground teams in Yemen have been distributing emergency food, water, fuel and shelter aid as well as long term sustainable projects since 2020. 

The violence and conflict in Yemen has resulted in the largest humanitarian crisis in the world after Syria. 15 million Yemenis are water insecure. 

We have submitted a request to our Yemen team to find a remote village that needs water desperately and pray that through answering the duas of the destitute….Allah swt will deliver His Infinite blessings on all those who are a part of this campaign….Ameen.
