UPDATE:

We have been in touch with Human Appeal regarding the water well project, and due to your amazing donations, there are discussions underway to use the funds for a better and more ambitious water project (in addition to water wells) to help those in drought-affected Pakistan.

This is really exciting news and is only possible due to the generosity shown by you all. We will have more information to share with you in the coming days. We hope to keep you updated on the highlights page of our Instagram.

As many of you now know, our dear brother Mohammed Farraj has passed away. It was a shock to all of us, and it was sudden, leaving many of us still grieving. He was ambitious, hardworking, and smart. Most of all, he was kind, good, and a practicing Muslim.

As Muslims, we believe that charity on his behalf will be a means of continual reward after his death; this is called Sadaqah Jariyah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a child who prays for them.” (Muslim)

Out of love for Mohammed, we wish to build a water project in his name. This means that every time someone or something uses or drinks from it, there will be a continual reward for him. We hope this will increase his ranks in Paradise.

When we first started, we aimed to build water wells with Human Appeal, each costing £880, to help drought-hit communities in Pakistan.

Since then, we are now in discussions with Human Appeal to use the funds more ambitiously. Whether that means building as many wells as we can or constructing wells and pursuing a larger or more ambitious project, we won’t know until Human Appeal gets back to us. We’ll keep everyone updated as we learn more.
