On December 11, 2023 Dalays Ali Shire, a mother of six, a loving wife, and a cherished member of the community returned to her Creator. It was Dalays’ final wish that a school be built in her memory. A school that would train, educate, and inspire the next generation. In poetic fashion she sought to afford students the kind of education she was deprived of. In honoring her legacy, we are building a school that will provide students with opportunities that were beyond her reach. 

The Need:

Schools in Erigabo are primarily run by private organizations, including NGOs, community groups, and religious institutions. Public schools are few in number and face challenges related to sustained funding. 

The need for schools for orphans and underprivileged children, in particular, is critical. Limited resources and infrastructure make it challenging for these children to access quality education, which is essential for breaking the cycle of poverty and providing them a brighter future.
