Imam Zakariya Academy is an educational institute based in the heart of East London and was initiated in 2003 as one of the first Islamic primary schools for Muslims in the East London area. Since then, it has gone from strength to strength by providing various courses for the Muslim community.

One of the flagship courses is the Alimiyyah course, run over seven years in the evening making it possible for working adults and college or university students, this is a course traditionally run in full-time settings like a Darul Uloom and predominantly taught in Urdu, however at IZA the course is designed to suit the needs for the Muslim community living in the west, therefore the course is taught in the English medium.

The Prophet (saw) would give charity throughout the year but increase his sadaqah during Ramadan. 

Ibn Abbas (ra) said, ‘The Prophet (saw) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan.’ [Bukhari]

We therefore humbly and urgently request all of our respected well-wishers and supporters for their generous help during the blessed month of Ramadhan. Any donation, big or small, will undoubtedly help IZA continue producing Huffaz, scholars and role models for our Ummah. 

We pray that Allah gives us success in our pursuit to raise the level of Islamic and secular education in Britain and we thank all those who are supporting us in our endeavour.
