We hope this message reaches you in the best of health and iman. We are reaching out to you today because we believe that our new recent project, “MSA-UCLA Youth Umrah Trip”, is a project worth investing in. We have been working on the Umrah project for a couple of months, and we are very happy that it is now coming to fruition. With Allah (SWT)’s help and the efforts of the MSA-UCLA Board, we were able to secure a trip with Dar-El-Salam during most students’ Spring Break March 23rd - March 30th.

The Muslim Student Association at UCLA piloted this program in an effort to provide Muslim youth all over California with the opportunity to visit the holiest site in the world, the Ka’abah. College years are perhaps the most pivotal years of one’s life, and this spiritual journey of a lifetime can strengthen students’ iman and reaffirm their connection with Allah. Often times we hear of the value of the youth in our communities and the importance of their leadership in the years to come. Here is an opportunity to support college-age students during this formative time of their life and give them a platform in which they can solidify their relationship with Allah and, from there, lead the Muslim community in a way that is congruent with the deen.

While the prices for this umrah trip are more affordable than other ones in the market, many students cannot afford the total price of $1699. For this reason, the MSA is collecting donations in order to subsidize students’ ticket prices and truly provide them with an opportunity unlike no other. We are accepting any amount of donations that will be beneficial to the cause.
