Every 20 minutes another child comes into care needing a foster family. Due to the shortage of Muslim foster carers, most Muslim children are being placed outside of their faith group.

The Muslim Foster Network is a new initiative by Mercy Mission (www.mercymission.org.uk). Our aim is to provide a solution to this ongoing problem by raising awareness about the importance of fostering, educating carers from non-Muslim households and opening up opportunities for those interested in becoming foster carers.

Support our Welcome Box campaign

Our Welcome box will provide the foster carer with the tools and knowledge enabling them to understand the religious and cultural needs of a Muslim child.

Through our Welcome Box, we want the foster carer and foster child to feel that there is a community of people who care for them and are willing to support them
