Funds for Muslim inmates of HMP Bullingdon

Ramadhan is a month of mercy, forgiveness and blessing. This Ramadhan, spare a thought for Muslim prisoners – how can we help them rebuild their lives? Imagine having no one to turn to while facing social stigma and isolation, how would you feel?

Prisoners are still human, with rights to dignity and freedom. They still have rights to education and attaining new skills. Islam is the religion of mercy and justice, our brothers behind bars are often forgotten and stigmatised; let’s remember them this Ramadhan and assist towards their spiritual rehabilitation. The items that we are fundraising for will encourage a better outlook on life and bring our Muslim brothers closer to Allah.

Prison rehabilitation is critically important as it helps reform the character and prevent prisoners from reoffending; thus, providing inmates with another chance to rebuild their lives for the better.

Funds raised by this project will be going towards supporting Muslim prisoners during the month of Ramadhan. Items such as Quran’s, Salaah Mat’s and Du’a books will greatly benefit our Muslim brothers and will help them to reflect during this holy and blessed month. Your money will help bring these Muslim prisoners the materials they need, along with support from the Prison Imams to turn their lives around through spiritual and religious reflection.

So this Ramadhan, please spare a thought for our forgotten Muslim brothers. Help them strengthen their faith and gain immense reward in doing so Insha’Allah. While we are able to partake in Salaah and supplications without restrictions, let's share that sweetness of faith and forgiveness for those who may not be able to do so as freely.

Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: 'O son of Adam, I forgive you as long as you pray to Me and hope for My forgiveness, whatever sins you have committed. O son of 'Adam, I do not care if your sins reach the height of the heaven, then you ask for my forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of 'Adam, if you come to Me with an earth load of sins, and meet Me associating nothing to Me, I would match it with an earth load of forgiveness."' At- Tirmidhi

-HMP Bullingdon is a prison located in Oxfordshire which accommodates male prisoners and well as youth offenders between the ages of 18 to 21. 

- Any surplus donation will go into similar projects or other UK domestic projects which help to tackle poverty and social issues.
