I’m one of a team of competitors striving to row whilst raising funds to support displaced families in the Horn of Africa and surrounding region.
For far too long, many families have been living in refugee camps with no access to things we take for granted on a daily basis. They are deprived of basic needs and live in the harshest conditions.
Ethar relief is a UK based humanitarian aid organisation operating in East Africa and surrounding regions. Established in 2006, we exist to ease the suffering of refugees and aid those who are in need. Ethar is one of the few organisations providing the vital aid to Eritrean refugees living in difficulties in camps across Sudan, Djibouti and Yemen. Making the work we are doing vital to the survival of those desperately in need.
Through this worthy charity you can help to;
1. Alleviate the suffering of refugees by providing Emergency Aid such as shelterwhich will help them have a safe space.
2. Reduce poverty by providing food, waterand medical supply.
3. Support the orphaned, and the disabled.
With your help these Forgotten People can stand up strong and live dignified, stable lives.
Jazak’Allah khair for your contribution and support.

The Annual Boat Race is an event which has been established by the Al-Noor Foundation in the Summer of 2018, at Fairlop Waters in the London Borough of Redbridge. The next event takes place this year on the 18th & 19th of June 2022, Inshaa’Allah.
The event is open to all schools, faith groups, charities and corporate organisations. The event aims to unite the community whereby individuals, families and organisations have the opportunity to raise money for charitable causes which are close to their hearts, by simply registering for a boat and participating in the race.
Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause. Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province.
The boats we will be using can accommodate up to 17 riders at a time and will be provided by a specialist Dragon Boat company which the Foundation has partnered up with to run the event.
