And they ask you about orphans. Say, "Improvement for them is best.

• - More than 14 million children are living as orphans due to poverty, war, disease/outbreak and other causes.
• - More than 100 million children have been rendered homeless.
• - 1.2 million children become the targets of human trafficking every year.
• - 5.7 million children are currently working in child labour (paid and unpaid)
• - 2 million children are forced into commercial sex industry.
• -2.3 million children under the age of 15 are diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.
• - Over the past 10 years, more than 1 million children have been separated from their families as a result of armed conflict.
• - In 2006, it was estimated that 93 million children of primary school age were not attending school.

The MyYateem (Anak syurga) campaign aims to help orphans by providing them with educational supports, basic health needs, food and nutrition and psychosocial support as well. 

The project will benefit orphans in more than 20 countries including Palestine, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Somalia, Yemen and Indonesia!

It is now more important than ever for us to take a step in supporting these children, especially the orphans. 

Islamic Relief is currently in the process of funding the Alternative Livelihood for Orphan Family Sponsorship Programme (ALO) which is ongoing in Indonesia, benefiting 175 orphan households.

LET'S PROVIDE THEM WITH THE FOOD, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, LOVE, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT THEY DESERVE!!
