Kerala, the south-west state of India, is going through inexplicable misery due to heavy rainfall and flash floods. Many districts in Kerala are grappling after the severe flood. 

News reports suggest that the continuous rains, floods, and mudslides devastated Kerala on an unprecedented scale caused over 400 deaths and displaced more than 300,000 people to temporary shelters.

Relief operations in full swing

Relentless rains and floods are continuing to pound the state and so far, resulted in an estimated $3 Billion (20,000 Crore INR). in damages. Rescue operations have resulted in saving 82,000 lives while relief operations to help those affected by the tragedy are underway. Full recovery from the disaster is definitely not a task of a few months or years.
