The Islamic Association of North London (IANL) was registered as a charity in 1977. Its activities, particularly those around faith, began long before its formal registration and the development of its current centre near Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley.
The Finchley Mosque provides the following facilities:
The centre can accommodate 650 worshippers at any one time. In addition to the daily prayers which are well attended, the centre is very popular during Fridays, the two Eid festivals and Ramadan, the month of fasting. Because of its popularity and the growing local population we have to hold 2 congregational prayers on Fridays and 5 congregational prayers on the respective Eid days to accommodate the worshippers.
To continue progressing and building, we require your support to help us expand and enhance the Mosque, allowing us to continue helping our community and building our future generations.
A significant amount of work has happened and continues to happen, and updates can be found on our websites. Further announcements for the next phase 3 will be made during Ramadan.
Please continue to make dua for the success of the extension project, and please continue to support.
The Annual Boat Race is an event which has been established by the Al-Noor Foundation in the Summer of 2018, at Fairlop Waters in the London Borough of Redbridge. The next event takes place this year on Saturday the 6th July 2024
The event is open to all schools, faith groups, charities and corporate organisations. The event aims to unite the community whereby individuals, families and organisations have the opportunity to raise money for charitable causes which are close to their hearts, by simply registering for a boat and participating in the race.
Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause. Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province.
The boats we will be using can accommodate up to 17 riders at a time and will be provided by a specialist Dragon Boat company which the Foundation has partnered up with to run the event.
