This winter, help us provide warmth and comfort to low-income immigrant families, domestic violence survivors, single mothers, and local refugees in the Little Pakistan area of Brooklyn. Together, we can make sure no one in our community faces the cold alone.
At People In Need Inc., we are committed to ensure that vulnerable members of our community have access to warm clothing and shoes this winter season.
Every year, we see firsthand how challenging winter can be for those already struggling to make ends meet. Many lack the means to purchase essentials like coats, sweaters, boots, and shoes. That’s where your support can make a life-changing difference!
The Kensington, Flatbush and Ditmas Park areas of Brooklyn are home to many low-income immigrant families and individuals struggling to meet their basic needs. For them, a warm jacket or sturdy winter shoes can be the difference between health and hardship.
Your kindness ensures that these families feel supported and valued during the harshest months of the year.
We wish to make every attempt to provide winter essentials for the poorest and most needy families in and around Brooklyn during these cold months, with the help of your kind donations and duas.
People In Need Inc. is a 501(c)(3) community-based organization. Our mission is to support low-income, immigrant families to achieve autonomy as residents of New York City; to empower our community, especially immigrant women, to advocate for their rights and support them as they learn to navigate and adjust to life in a new country, to help immigrant children with homework and personality development through various after-school enrichment programs; and to provide relief and mutual aid to our community during times of crises and emergencies. We work closely with the Flatbush United Mutual Aid (FUMA) and the Kensington Windsor Terrace Mutual Aid (KWT) groups, West Brooklyn Waterfront Mutual Aid, Long Island Helpers, and Sanctuary of Families.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude for all your past support towards People In Need Inc. Your generous contributions have helped us expand our programs and reach even more individuals and families in need. It is because of you, we’ve been able to provide essential resources, educational programs, and much-needed support to our community.

For the past few years, we’ve been running our Winter Warmth Drive, collecting winter clothing for vulnerable populations in our community—immigrant families, refugees, low-income households, and survivors of domestic violence.
