Assalammualaikum.

Firstly, we would like to say thank you to each and every one of you for donating with us during Eid Ul Fitr. With your contributions, we are able to pull off an amazing Eid for the community in Auckland, New Zealand. 

Alhamdullillah, we had an attendance of 13,000 people from the Muslim community attended the event which is the highest turn out that we ever had. This is in perspective of a population of only 30,000 Muslims in Auckland.

For Eid Ul Adha, we are seeking your kindness to contribute to the community again. We currently need your support to make this event a reality.

New Zealand Eid Day is an initiative to create change in the wider community, and to be a platform for the future generations.

By creating a celebratory atmosphere, we want to create a sense of pride in being a Muslim, whilst also creating a relationship with the local community in New Zealand. 

Help us help the community to enjoy Eid Ul Adha and put a smile at the faces of the children on Eid.

As the Chairperson and a Founding Trustee of New Zealand Eid Day, I wanted to write to you and thank you for supporting our campaign this Ramadan.

We have been humbled by the support and generosity of our brothers and sisters around the world this Ramadan. With your help, we are almost at our goal of $10,000 for community donations which would allow us to continue to keep this event as a ‘Free entry’ Islamic celebration.

Allah described these days in the Quran as “numbered days” emphasising the scarcity of this opportunity. Now is the time to renew our intentions and make the most of these numbered moments, for every action is judged according to its end.
