One of the beautiful traditions of this month is the sponsoring of public iftars to feed fasting people. 

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”  [Tirmidhi]

Our brothers and sisters in Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Somalia, Lebanon, and more require our assistance all year round -- the orphans, the elderly, and families in need.

Food Packs for Families in Need

Human Concern International is providing food aid to families, widows, orphans, and the needy in impoverished communities globally. Your support ensures that vulnerable people are looked after. 

Water Projects for Entire Villages: Build and Maintain 

The same thing that provides our lives with comfort is limiting the quality of life for millions around the world — water. 

Each year, 443 million school days are lost from water-related challenges and illnesses. Dirty drinking water kills 1000 children each day through diarrhea, typhoid, cholera, dysentery and other water-borne illnesses. That means more people die every year… Lack of access to clean drinking water means a less prosperous community. 

It’s impossible to overstate the importance of clean drinking water. 

This Ramadan, join us as we build out water infrastructure projects in the most drought-stricken areas of the world to provide vulnerable communities with access to clean drinking water.

The Fight Against Thirst

Men, women, and children across Africa and South East Asia suffer from a lack of access to clean drinking water. Human Concern International is building water wells across the continent to provide fresh, clean drinking water for residents of vulnerable communities.

In Islam, the reward of the person who provides water to the poor, the needy, and the thirsty is immense. ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

Refugee Communities' Water Needs

Refugee communities in Syria and Lebanon need water infrastructure projects to support their communal needs. Clean water ensures that these communities can begin to establish and build an economy with schools, hospitals, and farming initiatives. Support this project during Ramadan means that families and entire villages and towns will have access to clean water for years and years to come. 

Build a Well in Someone's Name

You have the option of building a well in honor of anyone you’d like with a donation of $1500 CAD. You will receive a certificate, a report and photos of the plaque with their names on it when the well is completed.

If you wish to have a name on a plaque, please forward your receipt for a full well to Info@humanconcern.org and cc hassan@humanconcern.org.  In that email please include the below.

Name, email, number, country to build in and name/s on the plaque. Wells are expected to be built within 6 months upon submission of details through email.
