This Ramadan, help an orphan in Afghanistan who would otherwise grow up on the streets.

Our goal at the Orphan House Foundation is to take care of needy orphans, especially in Afghanistan. By sponsoring us, you will be providing for the future of orphans in Afghanistan who would otherwise go hungry and grow up on the street.

Due to the 40 years of war that have devastated Afghanistan, there are thousands of orphans that live on the street and are being used for child labor. At times, they are bought and sold as commodities. Food prices have doubled in Afghanistan in the last year, and as a result, the poor are desperate to feed their families.  

We are able to provide all our orphans the opportunity to grow up in a positive and safe environment, where they are provided a good education and good mental and physical health. Our hope is that these same orphans will, in turn, become responsible members of their society.

Donors can be confident that 100% of donations go towards the orphans. We rely on grassroots efforts and funding to sustain our efforts year in and year out - this is why the role YOU play is so critical. 

We volunteer our time, and all of the money that is collected goes towards maintaining the orphanage. All of your donations are tax-deductible as we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the State of California.

All our orphaned kids are enrolled in private Afghan-Turk school which is the top school in Afghanistan.  Education is our highest priority, and therefore we spare no cost.  

Food distribution to the Families of Orphans in Kabul February 2022

We currently have 32 orphans at the orphanage.  Some have poor families that kept coming to the orphanage for food, and they had no capacity to even take the kids back for a few days during winter break because they had no food to feed them.  The cost of each pile of food which included oil, rice, beans, flour was $80.  Once word got out that we were donating to families, the whole street was full of the poor begging for food.  All had horrific stories of hungry kids, who have not eaten in several days, or eating stale bread soaked in water....my God have mercy on them.
