I’m so humbled and excited to be working with Penny Appeal Canada this Ramadan, They have always been an organization that’s close to my heart because of how much love and care that goes into each program to give back to the community and worldwide!

I have chosen the Orphan Kind program this Ramadan because it’s close to my heart, being a mom of three, kids require love, happiness, the right care, food, supplies and lots more!

It’s my goal to help raise funds for this cause because every kid deserves a bright future! I will be happy if you all can help me change an orphans life with what ever you can donate this Ramadan it’s such a blessed time because all your charitable acts are multiplied 🙏🏽it will mean a great deal to every kid with your help!  #TeamOrange

What is the problem?

There are more than 153 million orphans worldwide and it’s estimated that the number grows by 5,700 children EVERY DAY! These vulnerable children often grow up in poverty, without access to education, healthcare, food, or proper clothing. They’re missing out on a happy childhood, while the chance for a successful future slips away for them. This is where your small contributions can make a Big Difference.

What is Penny Appeal Canada doing to support Orphans?

The OrphanKind program changes a child’s life for the better, forever. This beautiful form of Sadaqah Jariyah helps provide an orphaned boy or girl with nutritious meals, new clothes, healthcare, a quality education, mental health resources and much more. 

The focus of Penny Appeal Canada’s OrphanKind program is on providing children a quality education. Through education, we will be able to cycle of poverty. Your support will turn vulnerability into strength, giving a child the tools they need to succeed in the future.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) was an orphan, losing both his father and mother at a young age. He (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) said, “I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” putting his index and middle fingers together. Sahih Al-Bukhari

Around the world, over 820 million people don’t have enough to eat. Every 3.6 seconds, 1 of these people will die due to starvation. If something isn’t done, lives will be needlessly lost. This is where your small contributions can make a Big Difference.

What is Penny Appeal Canada doing about food insecurity?

The aim of the Feed Our World program is to fight hunger and malnutrition in crisis led countries, providing short term relief and long term interventions.  Feed Our World provides millions of life-saving, nutritious meals to impoverished families around the globe.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, we will be distributing food packs containing healthy items to eight countries that will allow them to ensure they have meals for the entire month.

Each food pack costs $65 will contain nutritional items such as: flour, dates, salt, sugar, ghee, lentils, oil, vegetables, herbs and more!

We will be distributing in: 

• Palestine
• Yemen
• Syria
• Pakistan
• Afghanistan
• Lebanon
• Sudan
• Somalia

Around the world, over 785 million people don’t have access to clean, safe water. Over 1.5 million people die from dirty water each year, including 5,000 children DAILY. If something isn’t done, lives will be needlessly lost. This is where your small contributions can make a Big Difference.

What is Penny Appeal Canada doing to provide clean water to communities?

The Thirst Relief program provides entire communities not only with the simple gift of clean water, but also a pathway out of poverty. Dependable access to safe, clean water means that drinking, cooking, washing, watering crops, hydrating animals, and making wudu no longer come with the threat of disease.

Penny Appeal Canada’s Thirst Relief program seeks to bring fresh water access to some of the most impoverished communities in the world. By helping to build a water well or solar power centre, you will be providing clean water access to entire communities! Think about the Sadaqah Jariyah you will receive by supporting this campaign.

Clean water is a basic human right, that's why it's so important we help provide that to communities in need.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon Him) said, ‘Allah the Exalted and Glorious, will say on the Day of Resurrection, “O son of Adam, I asked you for something to drink but you did not give it to me.” He will say, “O Lord, how can I give You something to drink when You are the Lord of the worlds?” Allah (SWT) will say, “My servant so-and-so asked you to give him something to drink and you did not give it to him. Had you given him something to drink, you would have surely found that with me.” Hadith Qudsi 18
