MERCY MALAYSIA PALESTINE RELIEF FUND

MERCY Malaysia has been operating in Palestine since 2003, providing humanitarian assistance and development aid by providing medical support, food aid, clean water access, shelter, community development programmes, sustainable livelihood, education, and mental health and psychosocial support.

Over the years, MERCY Malaysia's initiatives have manage to slightly reduce the affected people's humanitarian burden, and help support them continue to live their life normally.

However, the number of affected population and humanitarian, as well as development needs still remains high due to periodic attacks by the Israeli forces.

MERCY Malaysia with its existing operation partner in Gaza will provide primary health care services in order to offer long term and rehabilitative assistance those requiring medical attention. 

The need for medical treatment has grown exponentially across Gaza.
 

MERCY Malaysia will also provide the most vulnerable Palestine populations some respite from the on-going devastating conflict by 

distributing food packs in its collective shelters. 

This program aims to meet immediate-term food needs and to ensure that family members meet their minimum daily nutritional needs.

MERCY Malaysia's humanitarian response plan also includes a Community Mental Health Programme, which will provide 

psychosocial support to reduce the impact of the stresses of the conflict environment on children and strengthen children and families' coping skills 

to minimise any future psychological issues.

Against the backdrop of increasingly scarce resources as well as increasing needs amongst the Palestinians, MERCY Malaysia will continuously support efforts to reduce the humanitarian burden of the people there by providing essential services for the well-being, human development and protection of the Palestinians.
