I’m SO excited to update you on our medical work in Gaza and the West Bank, and to announce that I get to go back soon.

My name is Sarah Badran, and I am a pediatric/ interventional /cardiologist - or as I like to say, Jack-Of-All-Trades-Master-Of Most 🙃 and I am proud to be part of the medical work at FajrScientific. We currently have a small group at the European Hospital in Gaza, and have simultaneously been furiously working on ensuring that THAT medical mission continues and we get more  medical equipment in, in addition to a mission to the occupied West Bank where the needs are huge….the West Bank is in an absolute crisis right now. We have solid and trusted networks on the ground, and know how to most cost effectively and efficiently save lives and limbs.

On this mission our intention is to perform much needed orthopedic, ophthalmologic and plastics procedures while simultaneously running a host of medical and pediatric general and specialty clinics. I am truly so honored to be part of this fantastic team. I welcome (🙏💜😊) any and all questions about logistics, specific donations or on how to help.

Having said that…. I know, it looks scary, right? The shootings, fires, checkpoints. All I can say is-  the Quran say “if any saves a life, it is as if he saves the lives of all mankind’. So even though compared to God all humans are the same age - whether it’s a day or 100 years- each second is a chance to do good and to help another. And even though, compared to God we are identical in intelligence, wealth and skill, I believe He wants us to try in any way we can. From an antibiotic or glucose tablet, to a craniotomy or hip replacement, together maybe we save a life, stop a tear, make a smile.
