Being able to afford college tuition is tough, and being able to afford all the other expenses that come along with is even more difficult.

During my undergraduate experience I worked through almost every semester and even took a semester off just to be able to afford tuition and the added costs of gas, food, parking, etc. 

I've spoken to countless students who are either considering leaving school for a period of time to make money for tuition or having to work part time in addition to their full course schedules. Of the ones who can afford tuition there are many who are not able to fully devote their time to studying and developing their careers because they are working odd jobs to support their family and afford the other expenses that came with being a college student.

What the Perpetual Guidance Scholarship aims to achieve is relieve some of that financial load from students and provide academic and professional mentors so that students can succeed no matter what. 

In the spring of 2020 we helped Abdul Rahman, a college freshman, who was contemplating not taking any courses at all because of how costly international fees can be, even at community college.

So what makes it perpetual?

Once a student receives the scholarship they become a part of the family that provides support to future recipients-giving back in whatever way they can.

We're starting off small, but hope to grow as time goes on.

In the Spring of 2020, we were able to provide one $1,000 scholarship. Now we're looking to grow that to three $1,000 scholarships and in the future turn into multiple scholarship that will cover students' full tuition.
