WHAT HAPPENED?

A devastating earthquake hit Turkey with a magnitude of 7.0 Magnitude on Friday October 30, 2020 at 13:15 local time. The epicenter was in the Aegean Sea, Izmir Province, which borders Greece. The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 miles or 16 km. Shocks were also felt on the Greek island of Samos. Tsunami early warnings are also issued by local authorities. 26 People died, around 800 were injured and dozens of buildings were badly damaged.
