The Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan

The violence that engulfed Khartoum and the Darfur region has led to catastrophic outcomes:

• 7.76 million people displaced by conflict
• Over 13,000 to 15,000 lives lost and more than 4,000 individuals injured.
• More than 18 million people facing acute hunger.
• Essential utilities like electricity and gas are in shortage, severely affecting the healthcare system.
• A looming threat of famine exacerbates the situation, with thousands displaced in urgent need of aid.

Food Security Initiatives

In response to the growing food insecurity, Sadagaat-USA has launched comprehensive food assistance programs aimed at providing immediate relief and sustainable support. Our central kitchens are more than just aid; they represent hope and solidarity. Each kitchen will provide cooked meals, meticulously prepared and distributed by our dedicated volunteers, includes: Lentils, Okra, Wheat Bread, Rice, Beans, Dates

"And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you, and he says, 'My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.'" (Quran 63:10)

Water Sustainability Projects

Recognizing the critical role of water in survival, health, and dignity, Sadagaat-USA's water projects are designed to address both immediate needs and long-term sustainability. Our efforts include:

• Emergency Water Supply: Immediate provision of clean and safe drinking water to communities most affected by the conflict, ensuring children and adults have access to life-sustaining hydration.
• Infrastructure Development: Rehabilitation and development of water resources, focusing on sustainable sources like the Nile, to ensure resilience against future crises.
• Community Empowerment: Establishing water committees in all project areas to foster community participation in the management and maintenance of water sources, ensuring sustainability and ownership.
• Health and Education Support: Constructing water coolers in schools within the state of Khartoum and other regions to support the educational process and enhance student health, laying the groundwork for a brighter future.

Your Role in This Sacred Duty

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reminded us, "The best charity is to satisfy a hungry person," (Sahih Al-Bukhari) and "The best form of charity is to give someone water to drink." (Ahmad)

Today, we are called upon to embody these teachings, to extend our hands in generosity and support the people of Sudan in their hour of need.
