I am personally asking my friends, family and community as I have tragically lost my home to a tornado, to come together and support in time of need.  This tragic natural disaster has ripped apart the family, and have been living apart for the first time in their lives. No mother of young children should have to go through that. 

Due to a misunderstanding with the insurance company, there was a lapse in coverage during the natural disaster, and now the entirety of the repairs must be paid for out of pocket. It took months to gather the funds to repair the home. Then another tragedy struck. An accident that left me handicapped for nearly a year, unable to walk unassisted. This led to the loss of a job and doubly the loss of funds because of medical bills. In addition, to the my father, who was taking care of the children, was hospitalized himself. This added strain to the family’s finances. 

Ultimately, we decided to sell the home to  afford an apartment and medical bills from the accident. The realtor  discovered several burst pipes within the house, seriously diminishing its selling price. The accumulation of misfortunes and experiences is devastating. Now more than ever we need help. In March of 2018, my modest and caring family was separated due to a tornado that divided us. You can see drone footage here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJ00ZEkyx_c. We had to split and stay at different family members' houses. My 3 brothers and I stay with our grandparents at the moment. My other  brothers stay with other family. We had to adjust to new schools and new living environments. Spending time away from our mother and other brothers which has been very hard. 

We started to repair the house since there was no insurance. It was a long process because several members of our family were getting sick and injured (not from the tornado). My mother injured her foot, disabling her for a nearly a year. After we finished the house, we were ready to sell it. She contacted a real estate agent to check out the house. To our surprise, there was mold growing on the inside of the house due to a burst pipe. The entire downstairs ceiling had water damaged and needed to be torn out. Our family needs to repair counters, floors, ceilings, and some parts of the wall. We are asking for financial help to restore the damage to our home. Anything helps. Thank you
