An opportunity for Sadaqa Jaaria for Generations to Come – Build an Orphanage, Masjid and Educational Institute from kindergarten to Secondary education.

Tanzania is populated by over one-third Muslims, over 20,000,000, but there are insufficient facilities for Muslims; hence this project is very much needed.

We are supporting and working with Shaikh Sulaiman Somari Filambi in partnership to purchase a plot of land in Tanzania, almost 11 acres of land. The land will be used for the purpose of building an orphanage, Masjid, and school including a kindergarten for the underprivileged local communities.

The land has all documents, a rendered area, approved by the government for planning. There is no school in the surrounding area and no educational institution nearby

Shaikh Sulaiman Somari Filambi – A scholar, having studied in Medina Munawara for nine years and then five years of Islamic studies in the United Kingdom.  Shaikh Sulaiman worked in Britain for Her Majesty’s prisons as an Imam for five years, leading prayers and offering Islamic studies and guidance to prisoners. After 2005 Shaikh Sulaiman, returned to Tanzania and has worked as the associate Deen of the faculty of Islamic Studies, followed by the Chairman of the disciplinary committee of the university, in Marwa, Tanzania, the only Muslim higher education institute in Tanzania. In 2014 Shaikh Suleiman followed his ambition to complete a PhD.

The Annual Boat Race​ with the Al-Noor Foundation

The Annual Boat Race is an event which has been established by the Al-Noor Foundation in the Summer of 2018, at Fairlop Waters in the London Borough of Redbridge. The next event takes place this year on the 18th & 19th of June 2022, Inshaa’Allah.

The event is open to all schools, faith groups, charities and corporate organisations. The event aims to unite the community whereby individuals, families and organisations have the opportunity to raise money for charitable causes which are close to their hearts, by simply registering for a boat and participating in the race.

Boat races are part of the great heritage of British culture and an amazing way to unite both competitors and communities together behind a common cause. Dragon Boat racing is something which is growing in popularity in the UK, originating from Southern China’s Guangdong Province.

The boats we will be using can accommodate up to 17 riders at a time and will be provided by a specialist Dragon Boat company which the Foundation has partnered up with to run the event.
