We, the residents of Holy Islamberg in Upstate New York, are starting this campaign because of the extreme and dangerous conditions of the road that leads to our house of worship for many, Baitullah Masjid Tajalli Azim.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!

For many years, the community of Holy Islamberg, which is home to over 200 residents, has been integral in fostering good relationships between Muslims and Non-Muslims, and creating a safe and Islamic environment for Muslim families. Here is a list of some of the many programs, functions, and activities hosted by the Islamberg Community that utilize Masjid Tajalli Azim as a necessary house of worship and gathering:

•Catskills Children’s Academy

•American Muslim Boy Scouts Summer Program

•Banaatun Noor International Girls Summer Program

•American Muslim Youth Club

•Law Enforcement Outreach

•Interfaith Dinners and Kids Groups (in coalition with the local Churches)

•Feed the Hungry Collections and Campaigns

•And many, many more!

Unfortunately however, all of these programs are in dire jeopardy because the condition of the main road continues to get increasingly more and more unsafe and hazardous. Especially during the winter, when our location in the Catskill Mountains is covered in months and months of heavy ice and snow, there is no relief. Local interfaith groups, students, pilgrims, and residents find it difficult to traverse the road to reach Masjid Tajalli Azim. It is even so bad, that State and Government officials, local emergency crews such as fire trucks and ambulances, cannot and will not risk their vehicles even in cases of medical needs. 

To tackle this issue effectively, we have secured a professional estimate, that is broken down into three phases:

1st: $28,000 - This phase will cover the road repairs from the welcome sign up to the guest services welcome booth.

2nd: $20,000 - This phase will cover the road repairs from the welcome booth to the community hall.

3rd: $22,000 - This phase will cover the repairs from the community hall to just past Baitullah Masjid Tajalli Azim!

THE STATE OF OUR ROAD HAS MADE REACHING THE MASJID AND OUR PLACE OF WORSHIP DANGEROUS, HAZARDOUS, AND UNSAFE.
