We have already raised over £50,000 mashAllah.The building materials have been purchased and building has begun! All we need now is a final £35,000 to complete the main build. Please help us to complete this. The Prophet said that whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah builds for them a Palace in jannah, even if its as small as a birds nest!

And the Prophet ﷺ said that the best thing a person can do is to teach the Quran. You will have the reward of teaching thousands upon thousands to read, memorise and understand the Quran for decades to come inshAllah.

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE! Water leaking through. A cold damp smell inside. Electric wiring exposed and dangerous. A small uninviting space. More people pray outside of the mosque than inside!

Imagine transforming this place

Not into a house of God but a palace of God

For over 500 children to read, recite and memorise the quran in a beautiful, comfortable and honoured setting
For 1000+ worshippers at a time to gather and pray And for hundreds of young adults to study the sacred sciences and become the future scholars of the ummah.

That is a huge Sadaqa jaariya. And it only comes once in a lifetime.

But why here in West Africa, the Gambia?

Because Islam has been rooted here for over 1000 years. Because this part of the world has produced the greatest scholars, thinkers, jurists, billionaires and warriors the ummah has ever seen.

Because their existing mosque is falling apart, drowning  in damp, with dangerous electrics, way too small for them and has terrible wudu, toilets and hygiene facilities.
And because I can’t rebuild the great mosques and schools and madrassah and universities of Gaza yet. And so we build this with the intention that Allah will rebuild Gaza!

One of the Imams here said to me - The future of Islam here depends on it.
