​This Ramadan we want to multiply our efforts to help more people even those living in hard to reach areas. Your donations are going towards building much needed water stations in Syria, Yemen, Nigeria and Gaza!

Sadaqa Welfare Fund is a charity organisation based in Sydney, Australia. The organisation came to life when a small team of brothers became so moved by the devastating news coming from overseas and decided that they physically wanted to go on the ground and help those most in need.  Since it’s humble launch in 2013, Sadaqa Welfare fund has grown and is now helping people in over 20 countries.​

More than 8 million people lack a basic drinking-water service. Clean water means the water used for cleaning, drinking and self-hygiene. 

Water is a basic human right that many of our brothers and sisters lack. It is for that reason building Water Stations has been one of our main initiatives at Sadaqa Welfare Fund.

Here is a Case study from Gaza:

Water Stations are different from Water Wells as they are dug deeper into the ground and feed off a main vein of water. A team of engineers help us source and access these water veins. 

There is also a proper filtration system that is established in these water stations to ensure the water is 100% pure and clean. All our Water Stations are solar-powered and are usually built in larger communities where it becomes a town’s hub due to the abundance availability of water.

Sadaqa Welfare Fund is also one of the few organisations that provide ongoing maintenance for the water wells and water stations that we build. Every Year we send our teams to check the operation of these water stations and wells in all the countries we have built them in.
