He was born in Yetma, Palastine in 1942. He survived two wars, but lost a daughter in the 1967 war.

He was a hardworking man who traveled to several countries just to provide and support his wife and ten kids, making sure their  needs were met. He is greatly loved and will surely be missed.

May Allah (swt) shower him with His Mercy and elevate his status, granting him Al Firdous al 3ahlaa. Ameen!

Sadaqah Jariyah literally translates from its original Arabic as "flowing," or "running" (jariyah) "charity" (sadaqah), meaning charity that one gives in life that continues to provide charitable benefit to its designated recipients after its donor passes away from this life. It is commonly called “ongoing charity,” “perpetual charity,” or “running (as in a river) charity.” The phrase “ever-flowing charity” reflects this type of charity’s special capacity to reach both recipients and giver after the donor’s death.

At Zakat Foundation of America, these donations are typically channeled into water wells and hand pumps, mosques, or community centers.

The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, famously said:

“When a human being dies, all one’s deeds cease, save three: a Sadaqah Jariyah, [religious] knowledge [one leaves behind] from which others benefit, and a righteous child who prays for one” (Muslim).
