Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of Abdullah Hassan.

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Surely, We belong to Allah, and to Him we will return." Our beloved Abdullah Hassan returned to Allah on the 10th of April 2023 in the beautiful month of Ramadan.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless/ongoing charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Hadith, Sahih Muslim]

This page is raising charity on behalf of our late brother Abdullah Hassan, a great-hearted individual who cared for people around him constantly. He consistently exhibited excellent manners with a warming smile throughout his life. 
 

All the charity raised will be spent on behalf of our late brother Abdullah Hassan as a Sadaqah Jariyah inshallah. The charity on his behalf will be water sources to benefit communities in need, additionally another page will be set up for Da'wah in the form of translated Qurans distribution on his behalf inshallah.

As a tribute to Brother Abdullah, our goal is to build a number wells on his behalf inshallah. The wells will be built in the villages which are most in need of water according to the One Ummah charity organization.  The charity has informed us they will be constructed in either Uganda, Sierra Leone or Kenya depending on where is most in need.  It costs £1250 to construct a single borehole well, we are aiming to build 2 borehole wells which comes to the total of £2500, inshallah we may exceed this goal. 

Inshallah this charity will benefit many families and communities, providing drinking water to reduce poverty in these areas while providing a source of ongoing sadaqah for our brother Abdullah. Allowing him to gain Hasanat (Good Deeds) from every person who drinks from/ uses the well. 

Additionally surplus money will go towards another well if sufficient funds are available. If it is not sufficient for a borehole well, the surplus will go towards  handpumps in either Pakistan, Bangladesh or Burma, depending on where it is most in need (£250 to construct a single hand pump), all ran by One Ummah charity. Ensuring all funds are spent on sadaqah jariyah on Abdullah's behalf inshallah.

The Messenger of Allah {SAW} said: “The earth on the day of resurrection will be scorching, except for the shadow of a believer, for verily his charity will serve him as shade.”

Charitable men and charitable women, who have loaned Allah a good loan—it will be multiplied for them, and for them is a generous reward. (Surah al-Hadid, 18).

May Allah accept this Sadaqah Jariyah for Abdullah Hassan to give him Hasanat and ajar in his grave, Ameen.

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported that he asked the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet (ﷺ), said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “A drink of water.”
