Hundreds of Thousands of Widows & Orphans Are In 'Unliveable' Conditions

• Lebanon remains the country hosting the largest number of refugees per capita, with Government estimate of 1.5 million displaced Syrian refugees. Many of them are living in 'unliveable' conditions. 

​

• Our team visiting widows and orphans in unsettled communities. They have little or no means to live making Muslim women and children extremely vulnerable to street life, violence and is detrimental to their health.

• Many families struggle hard for basic necessities of life and in a strange country, they even have to resort to begging at times. Some families don't even have enough money to buy water.

What Does The Center for Life Provide & How Does It Impact Widows & Orphans

• The center will give full living support to 50 orphan children and their widow mothers;
• The center is based in Barja, Beirut an area south of Lebanon close to the Syrian border
• Safe accommodation and a permanent home for them to live in, there are 7-8 apartments in 1 center each with 3 bedrooms
• Heating, light, kitchen, bedroom areas that are safe, maintained and secure for all families to use.
• Schooling and educational program delivered by a qualified teacher for orphans to complete their schooling qualifications and exams
• A skills development program for Widows to teach them how to utilise their skills to set up a business to gain employment
• Monthly stipend for each family for food and basic necessities
• Islamic education and Qur'an classes for tarbiyah and development
