Today is the last Jummah of 2023!

How this year has truly unfolded?! Subhanallah calamity after calamity. Our Ummah has well and truly been tested. But we stand resilient and steadfast in the face of adversity.

We won’t give up.

This is where we really need to make the most of these precious moments. These are opportunities Allah has given us to do as much good as possible. To please Allah in every way we can.

Alhamdullilah aid is continuing to get through to Palestine, but currently 90% of all affected people are displaced and homeless!!!

In Palestine since October, the Casualties are over 17,000 with 46,000 injured and millions displaced with destroyed homes. MATW Project has been providing emergency relief via Food, Water, and Medical Aid as well as warm clothes and tents, impacting Over 7,288,233 Palestinians as of December 12th.

In Afghanistan and Pakistan the humanitarian situation is more dire year on year and the winter months are extremely challenging. MATW Project is on the ground providing support through food, water, warm clothing, shelter and much more.

Salaam, Jummah is a special day of duas.

At only 12 years old, Samia takes care of her younger siblings. After her father was killed in the conflict, her family fled to seek safety in Lebanon.

The tent they live in barely protects them.

At night, she plays a game with her siblings till they sleep so they can forget their hunger.

Right now we have a pause in the bombing and assault on innocent lives.

Right now we can respond with humanitarian support and provide food, water, medical aid and essentials.

A four day ceasefire has been agreed to in Palestine. This allows for desperately needed humanitarian aid to be delivered to vulnerable people who have endured almost two months of relentless attacks killing more than 14,100 people, including 5,600 children, and forcing more than 1.7 million people from their homes.

With the influx of people migrating from South to North, our MATW team’s humanitarian aid efforts are now focussed on ensuring families have what they need to survive the unforgiving winter months ahead.

MATW’s recent partnership with UNRWA, The Egyptian Youth Council and The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation allows us to increase our relief efforts and deliveries into Palestine to families in need.

We have a window of opportunity to get as much relief into Palestine as possible right now. Help us maximise this time by reaching as many orphans and vulnerable families as possible.

The situation is not any better in Palestine.

The people are running low, but alhamdulillah we have four trucks worth of aid entering into Palestine.

But they still are in dire need of our help.

Allah has blessed us with much, and he has given us health, wealth and security.

If Allah has placed us in this position, Allah can remove us just as easily. Today we may be in a position to give, tomorrow we may be on the receiving end.

Let’s be those who give this Jummah while we have the opportunity to show our gratitude to Allah ﷻ for our health and our wealth.

Dr Hammam Alloh and his family were martyred today.

Before he died, he was asked in an interview why he doesn't flee to safer areas; his response brings tears to the eyes:

"If I go, who treats my patients? You think I went to Medical School for 14 years so I can only think about my life and not my patients? I'm asking you ma'am: Do you think this is the reason I went to medical school? To think only about my life? This is not the reason I became a doctor."

He could have easily fled to safety when there was risk of being attacked, but he chose his patients over his own life. Not even a missile would make him flinch away from his patient's side. May Allah SWT grant him and all those that have been martyred the highest station.

He had an unshakeable commitment to his cause, and died for it. Likewise, let us show our commitment to the cause. Do not tire in raising awareness, making du'a, and donating if it's within your means, even if just £1.

On this blessed day of Jummah, we ask you to make a special prayer for our brothers and sisters in Palestine. The death toll has now reached more than 11,000, with 67% being children and women. During this past week, MATW has also lost five team members; inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.  We ask Allah to grant mercy to all the shuhadah and to reunite them with their loved ones in the highest levels of Jannah.

Dua for Palestine:

O Allah, help and protect the people of Palestine. O Allah, ease their pain and suffering. O Allah, bestower of Mercy, bestow your mercy on them. O Allah, open people's hearts to give in this time of crisis. O Allah, help those who are in need, wherever they may be. Ameen!

This Jummah, let us strengthen our commitment to the people of Palestine by promising to take sincere, collective action. This action can take many forms, including making dua, bettering ourselves as Muslims, raising awareness, and giving sadaqah to provide life-saving support.

As salamu alaykum Dear Donors, 

We are writing to you today with heavy hearts as we have just been notified of a recent bombing that occurred a couple of hours ago at Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital in Gaza. There were more than 500 doctors, nurses, paramedics, wounded patients, women and children inside the hospital. Any wounded civilians are being transported to nearby hospitals however healthcare workers are struggling to care for patients as supplies of water, fuel and medicine are dangerously low. During this time of crisis, we thank you for your efforts, and ask you to continue donating to provide urgent life-saving medical aid.

2)FAQ - How are we getting aid in while there is a blockade? We are purchasing from local suppliers and replenishing our warehouse. Items are limited, and increasing in cost (please see info graph below). 

3)We have signed an official agreement to partner with Al-Shifa hospital, the largest hospital in Gaza to provide urgent medical aid. They are in urgent need of fuel to run generators for electricity, medical equipment and medicine (Please see appreciation letter below from Al-Shifa hospital).
