SHADE is a UK registered not-for-profit charitable umbrella organisation. It runs various projects which include Al Rawda, The Shade Centre as well as many other projects. 

Some of our projects and activities are mentioned here:

-  Al Rawda is our banner for Islamic education and has various departments catering for the spiritual and educational needs of the Muslim community. Our services include a higher educational Islamic Institute offering the 'sacred 'Alimiyya Islamic scholarship for women (Jamia Al Rawda). Alhamdulillah we've had 3 batches of graduates (almost 50 'Alimat) who are now teaching and serving the deen in their own areas. Alongside this we have a registered college (Rawda College) where they can gain accredited internationally recognized qualifications on teaching and the social sciences. We also have a childrens' maktab department (Madrasa Al Rawda), which offers weekday and weekend Qur'anic school with a high standards and emphasis on character development.

•  -  The Shade Centre is our community initiative which caters for the social, health, recreational and spiritual needs of the community. We run various activities including an Sunnah Archery club, Martial Arts for Kids & Adults, Ladies Fitness Classes, Over 50's Tea club, Friday Jumuah,  Tarawih Prayers, Eid Prayers Outdoors where thousand of people take part.

-  Rawda Press. Whilst we are a not-for-profit organisation, we operate using a professional business model whereby we run initiatives and invest to help generate income to make the organisation self-sustaining. Alhamdulillah we have established a publishing house named Rawda Press through which we have published many books on the Prophetic Lifestyle for children as well as adults. These books are shipped to suppliers across the world with some titles having sold over 10,000 copies! This allows us to propagate the beautiful Sunnah to the English speaking world as well as generate income for the organisation. See our titles:

By supporting us donating today we can ship out signed-by-author copies of these title as a gesture of our appreciation. You can also dedicate the cost of printing one of our future printing in your name or a family member, we will place the name and message on the dedication page of the book. This will serve as sadaqa jariya.

-  Zakat Fund:  We also have a student female scholarship scheme where you can donate your zakat to pay for the Islamic education of eligible students in the UK who are otherwise unable to continue with their education. (Please mention zakat in the comments to pay towards this).
