Guardians of DARUL UMMAH

Darul Ummah literally means the 'House of the Community'. Ever since 1997, Darul Ummah has been the home to many pioneering educational projects, da'wah initiatives, youth and recreational activities, and it has been a place of spiritual solace and upliftment for the entire community. 

Since the beginning of Darul Ummah Jame Masjid, you have responded to our call with amazing generosity. In the last couple of years during the most difficult time of  the pandemic, your donations have helped us to completely renovate the Sisters' prayer facilities and the wudu, toilet & shower areas. Through your generous donation, we have upgraded and modernised our audio visual system. Your donations have also helped us to cover the increasing cost of maintenance, cleaning and hiring of security personnel to keep the Masjid safe. 

The past two years have been unprecedented, strenuous and challenging for our entire community. During this very difficult time, Darul Ummah had maintained many of its key services. Our Imams continued to deliver regular Islamic lectures, classes and guidance through social media channels. 

Your donations will contribute towards the ever increasing energy bills, building maintenance,  cleaning, security, staff pay and sustaining & developing of community projects & services throughout the year. 

Allah reminds us in the Glorious Qur'an: 

“Those who spend their wealth in Allah's cause are like grains of corn which produce seven ears, each bearing a hundred grains.” [2:261] 

“O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you before there comes a Day in which there is no exchange” [2:254] 

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad gives glad tiding to those who give: 

“If anyone gives as Sadaqa the equivalent of a date from that (earning) earned honestly, for Allah accepts that which is lawful, the Lord would accept it with His Right Hand, and even if it is a date, it would foster in the Hand of the Lord, as one of you fosters his colt, till it becomes bigger than a mountain.” [Sahih Muslim] 

“The acts most pleasing to Allah are those which are done continuously, even if they are small.” [Sahih Muslim]
