For more than six decades, the Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) has been the backbone of Islamic Societies (ISocs) across the UK and Ireland. From active ISocs across universities and colleges, we have worked tirelessly to empower Muslim students, advocate for their rights, and nurture them to become leaders within their communities.

Our Legacy of Impact

Since our founding in 1963, FOSIS has facilitated ISocs to cater for students navigating university life while holding onto their faith. We have:
✅ Facilitated the growth of ISocs by providing resources, training, and leadership development.
✅ Advocated for students' rights, ensuring that their voices are heard on national and institutional levels.
✅ Created spaces for faith-inspired activism, where students can engage in humanitarian efforts, interfaith dialogue, and social justice campaigns.

Why We Need Your Support

Today, more than ever, Muslim students face unique challenges—from tackling Islamophobia to ensuring access to prayer spaces and halal food on campuses. At the same time, ISocs continue to inspire and uplift thousands through charity work, educational programs, and community-building initiatives.
