Have you ever wondered how a Deaf person prays? Have you ever wondered how a Deaf person recites the Quran or how a Deaf person understands Islam? 

Al Isharah has been providing services to the Deaf community for over 14 years now! We provide specialist classes for Deaf children, we teach Deaf adults and we are in the process of translating the Quran into British Sign Language. We do this, so like every other person, Deaf people can worship Allah (swt) upon understanding. 
 

We consider that we are fulfilling a communal obligation (fard kifaya) on behalf of the Muslim community.  

We believe that this isn’t just a privilege, it’s a right! We need the help of the community to support these essential services. Your donations will be an ongoing charity (sadaqah jaariya) inshaAllah. 

The Prophet (saw) said,  “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: an ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Every day we come across Deaf people who simply want to worship Allah, who want to know how to pray, how to make dua and how to fast etc. We want to help them connect with Allah.

Allah Hears the prayers of everyone, even if it’s one from the heart, even if it’s a silent prayer. 

We are on a drive to create resources and continue delivering our services for the Deaf community. Using these available resources, Deaf people will learn basic things such as how to make wudhu, how to pray, how to recite Quran (for oral Deaf people) and access to the Quran through our most notable project: the BSL Quran translation.
