About SiwarBox

• The word ‘SIWAR’ comes from Arabic and it means “Bracelet”. It also means “to Travel” in other languages. 

• SiwarBox is an accessories subscription box delivered quarterly where each Box Celebrates:

1. A CITY rich with Islamic Architecture and Art. 

2. ARCHITECTURE from the celebrated city 

3. A CAUSE that supports women throughout the world that we donate %25 of our box profits to. 

The June SiwarBox

June SiwarBox features two design options:

• OPTION 1 - Royal Blue: This is a blend of the star spangled banner and an Islamic architectural pattern from the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus, Syria. It presents an expression of American Muslim identity.

• OPTION 2 - Rose Quartz: This is a graceful presentation of a Damascene art pattern in a contemporary style and color combination.

• June SiwarBox scarves are Screen-printed on Cashmere Modal. This insures the durability of the scarves as well as colors and lightness for the summer. 
• June SiwarBox Necklaces are made of Stainless-steel that are fade & scratch resistant, and never change color with sweat or perfume.

Our June Cause: Housing Syrian Women

25% of June SiwarBox profits will go towards building houses for internally displaced women and children inside Syria. The initiative responsible for the project is Nuday Syria

Message From The Founder

When I was little, I used to go the old markets in Damascus and buy the most colorful beads I can find. Then I would take them home and make my own jewelry. Nothing brings me more joy than wearing unique pieces. I remember and still own some hand-me-down jewelry that my aunt gifted me. I made the choice to wear a head cover "Hijab" when I was in the fifth grade and it became part of my identity. 

I studied Architecture in Damascus and had the opportunity to travel and experience Islamic Art and Architecture first hand. I'm now finishing my degrees in Architecture and in Art History. Growing up with different identities plays a big role in SiwarBox. I'm a Circassian born in Damascus Syria and now an American.  

Four years ago, I founded New Dream Designs LLC, a creative company that serves as a one-stop-shop for design and photography needs of non-profit organizations and startup businesses. This has given me the experience and confidence to express my creativity in different forms using every available medium. With SiwarBox, I'm delighted to combine my culture, educational background and passion and express them in the form of accessories and scarves. 

SiwarBox is a childhood dream that I'm happy to see come to life. Together we can revive a beautiful and peaceful tradition. I appreciate your support
