Alhamdulillah, praise be to God, our food pantry has been serving the community surrounding the Slidell Masjid in Slidell, Louisiana for the past 3 years. We provide food and other basic necessities to ~ 70/families each month. This past year has been one of our most successful and we owe many thanks to all of the generous people who donated to our campaign last year. With your donations we were able to purchase a large refrigerator/freezer which has enabled us to regularly provide refrigerated and frozen items to our families including dairy products, meat, and produce. 

Since last Ramadan we have provided food to 1,046 families total and distributed over 66,000 pounds of food and supplies. In September, immediately following Hurricane Ida, we were able to hold a mass food-distribution in which we served food and supplies to around 260 families (estimate because it was difficult to keep track of the large volume of recipients) and distributed over 14,000 pounds of food and supplies in just one day.
