As-salaamu Alaykum,

Sincere thanks for supporting our project on Launchgood 2 years ago. A lot has happened behind the scenes, a lot of negotiations and bureaucracy that has been surpassed.

As a result, Alhamdulillaah, the pavement works have been completed and the land is now being prepared for foundation works.

It is your generous funds that will last us until April in shaa Allaah, but if we don't raise more this Ramadan, the work will have to stop! And It will cost us to get the construction team off land!  We want the Masjid to be completed in one smooth motion without interruptions.

If you have donated before, please can I ask you to donate again, and help us reach our target this Ramadan. Please spread the link, tell your family, friend, acquaintances. The more people who know, the greater the sadaqah jaariyah and the more likelihood this dream will become a reality.

Without your generous donation, the locals and tourists can't have a base for prayer whilst they hike in the beautiful lake district. You have a real opportunity to create a beautiful symbol of Islam in this beautiful area.

As Salaam alaikum and Jazakumullahu khhairan for contributing to our cause of the First Masjid in the South Lake District.

Pictured here is one of the Muslim children in our area. As you know, not only do we have NO mosque, we have no space or facility for a Madrassah for our next generation. These children and their families rent a hall weekly to learn about their Deen, about our Rasool (SAW) and the Qur’an. I am told they have been busy this week compiling their Du’a List for Laylat Al-Qadr.

May Allah SWT keep the light of Deen strong in the lives of all our children everywhere. Ameen.

In these last nights and days of Ramadan, please consider spreading our cause amongst your friends and family, and donating again to earn a place in Al Firdaws. Within Fajar prayer today, the Imam slowly and melodiously recounted the story of Ibrahim and Ismael (upon them be peace), the dream the father saw and the utter reliance and obedience of the son, without any hint of rebellion. A lesson on sacrifice, fulfilling ones obligation, true loyalty and obedience. The first unit of Fajar was a beautiful standing encapsulating what this month is about; a month which is soon coming to a close; for some for a year, for others forever.

As for the second unit of Fajar prayer, it returned with a harsh reminder of our nature in competing for an increase in the dunya, but to what avail? The final abode we all know. The verses brought about a realisation of the temporality of this world, and the reality of what is to come. Both units of prayer were very emotional for everyone, you could hear snuffles as people tried to contain their tears, realising that we are all in the same boat here. We must leave Ramadan better than we came in it, prioritise our lives, and arrange our affairs before we expire.

With this, I ask Allaah to accept all your donations, grant you relief from every difficulty and shower upon you blessing upon blessing, blessings of wealth, health, pious children and time. May He dawn upon us that true success is good connection with him and His people who remind us of Him. May you be strongly connected.

In building this Masjid, our intention is to connect as many people to Allaah as possible. Provide our children with a sound education on faith and action so they have a deep sense of belonging and identity to Orthodox Islam, within the vastness of Ahl us Sunnah.

If your hope was to donate another time prior to the end of Ramadan, please do so, and please continue to champion this launchgood link. If everyone did, we would far surpass our targets.

The Imam cried out the following verses from the holy Quran last night, which made the core tremble:

"And donate from what We have provided for you before death comes to one of you, and you cry, “My Lord! If only You delayed me for a short while, I would give in charity and be one of the righteous. [63:10]"

SubhanAllaah, the Quran comes at the right time to give us a reality check. We sometimes hold on to the temporary for dear life, had only we known if we opened our hands, both this life and the next would be a lot easier for us.

Thanks to you, and by the grace of Allaah, we are so close to reaching our target for this Ramadan. The simple fact you have kindly donated informs us you know the real and ever-lasting value of this project, we can only say JazaakAllaahu Khair Al Jazaa, your reward is with Allaah. 

May we please humbly ask you to remember us and the First Masjid project in your du'as, as you seek out Laylatul Qadr, these precious days, we are all in need of forgiveness and aid from Allaah. May we also ask you not to stop spreading this important cause to everyone you know.

Ramadan has gone really quickly. We are already within the last 10 nights, within which, there is a high likelihood of being laylatul qadr.

This also means our campaign deadline is coming to a close.

We know the Prophet peace be upon him said: “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.”

A Muslim Leader informed me small charities benefit from the personal touch; people give to those charities people trust and to causes they know will make a big difference. They will give if they know you have given.

Assalamu Alaikum All,

Alhamdullilah with your generous contributions, dua's and word of mouth we had our first gathering at the 'First Masjid' site.

We had elders from Lancaster, Preston, Blackburn, and Birmingham making dua for our community and giving us the encouragement to plough on with the noble cause (see the last image). 

See below the pictures of when we bought the land and how overgrown it was, the site was also used for fly tipping during the early part of the pandemic. With your dua's and contributions we have managed to prepare the land. and do limited gatherings (weather permitting). The last picture shows the social distanced gathering we had (was a bit cold!!!) on the site Alhamdulillah. 

The picture below is from the gathering we had yesterday, Glory be to Allah that we can imagine having our own Masjid soon InshaAllah.

Alhamdulillah the land where the Masjid is to be built, it is located right in the middle of a beautiful countryside. For fajr we could hear the birds chirping all around, it was magical!

Alhamdulillah we managed to pray asar jamat (following the restrictions) and the feeling was humbling. None of us could have imagined Muslims owning a land for the build of a Masjid. Alahamdulillah we have managed to clear the land and InSha Allah will start work on levelling it soon. With approximately £ 15000 we can  start work on the car park which will allow members to park on site  and use the land for their jamaat and outdoor gathering (weather permitting).

I request you to share the cause with your close family and friends to make this project a reality. This is the First Masjid in the lakes and the rewards are many folds, it will help establish a muslim community in this area.
