Sudan needs your help, join us this Ramadan to bring hope to the people of Sudan.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

As salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu, these are your friends and sisters at The Digital Sisterhood. Join the us in collaboration with Human Concern International this Ramadan in aiding our beloved brothers and sisters in Sudan. 

Currently, 50 percent of the total Sudanese population—more than 24.7 million people, almost 14 million of whom are children—are in need of humanitarian assistance. Approximately 85% of households in Sudan right now spend more than 65% of their total income on food. While just over 1/3 of those households cannot afford the contents of a single food basket.

Last year, HCI helped over 9,000 people receive aid in Sudan. Help us increase this number this Ramadan. Our focus for support emergency relief in Sudan is food; as many of our Sudanese sisters and brothers and their families have been starving for months, going on for years since the start of the civil war in 2023. 

The current situation in Sudan is described as “the world’s largest and worst hunger crisis […] Famine has spread to five areas in Sudan and could spread to 10 areas (of the country) in the coming months, with a further 17 areas at risk. Famine means people are already dying from hunger. Without immediate food aid, famine risks spreading further in 2025, threatening the lives of millions of people, mainly children, and exacerbating what is already one of the world’s most severe food crises.”

Ramadan is the month of mercy, forgiveness, and immense reward. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) taught us that charity never decreases our wealth.  Instead, it blesses it.
