It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that we reach out to the community to share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved brother, Mohamed Amin Farah. Mohamed Amin was a victim of gun violence, a calamity that abruptly ended a life filled with promise, kindness, and love. Amin was only seventeen years old when he suddenly passed away last week. 

Mohamed Amin’s mother, Aunty Ubah, is a community leader who migrated to Seattle with her family in the early 90’s. Known for hosting numerous Eid picnics and community events, Aunty Ubah has left a lasting impact on countless Somali families in Seattle. Many within the community share stories of Aunty Ubah's unwavering support during their times of need However, the past few years have presented significant challenges for the family. In the summer of 2022, their eldest son was tragically injured in a stabbing, leaving him with significant brain injuries and paralyzed.This incident forced Ubah and her family to relocate from Turkey to be able to provide full-time care for their son. 

Amin, the beloved youngest member of his family, cherished playing video games, basketball, and spending time with his loved ones. His vibrant life was tragically cut short by senseless gun violence. Aunty Ubah and her family have selflessly supported our community for years. Now, it's our turn to show our gratitude and rally around them during this incredibly difficult time. 

The funds raised through this campaign will provide immediate support to Mohamed Amin's family, covering essential expenses and alleviating financial stress during their time of grief. Additionally, a portion of the donations will be allocated towards Sadaqah Jariyah projects in Mohamed's honor. This ensures his legacy of kindness and community service contributes to continuous benefits for the community and earns ongoing rewards for him in the hereafter. May our collective efforts be a source of comfort to Mohamed Amin’s family and a means of continuous blessing for him in the hereafter.
