The Tragic Story: 

    Abou Bakur Aliraja, in his sincere trust and innocence, placed his faith in a long-time family friend and accountant, Ahmed Seedaat, to manage an investment        business for him. Unrecognized to him, this trust was brutally betrayed. Ahmed Seedaat transferred the title of Abou Bakur Aliraja’s family property to his own       name and deceitfully took out a loan for $310,000 against it.

  For a period, the fraud remained hidden as Seedaat provided fake investment return statements. The truth came to light only after Seedaat was arrested and convicted for the murder of his wife, leading to the discovery of the financial deceit. Now, the bank, unaware of the fraud, seeks to repossess and sell the family home to recover the loan, leaving Abou Bakur Aliraja and his family without a roof over their heads.

The Dire Situation: 

Abou Bakur Aliraja and his family are in dire situation. They have no means to pay the bank and face imminent eviction. Both Abou Bakur Aliraja and his wife are in poor health, with one suffering from heart problems and the other recently diagnosed with cancer. Despite their severe hardships, they have already spent over $100,000 of their own money on legal fees since 2020, fighting tirelessly to reclaim their home and seek justice.

The Legal Battle:

They have a case against the land titles office, which has a compensation fund for those who lose their property due to fraud. However, the land titles office has refused to pay out, forcing them to take the matter to court. Now, they need $40,000 to engage a barrister to present their case at the Court of Appeal and secure their house and get justice they so desperately need.

Our Call for Help: 

As a community, we are taught to stand by our brothers and sisters in their times of need. We appeal to you, our generous and compassionate brothers and sisters, to come forward and support Abou Bakur Aliraja and his family.
