We pray you are well this Ramadan.

Last year, Dar al Quran did a fundraising campaign on LaunchGood to support a Centre in Tonga. The intention was that the money will be used to help restore and upgrade the facilities. The intention was made, and we attempted to find a reliable way/person to best handle these funds. Unfortunately, we struggled to gain confirmation of what/who the best means was and we were unable to find a reliable means to deliver the money. Unfortunately, the mosque itself is no longer owned by the community and we are unable to utilize the money as originally attend. We are apologetic to all those who donated for this situation. Dar al Quran did reach out many times to seek logistics of how best to manage the money, unfortunately to no avail.

Currently, we still have the money. We have been advised and decided the best solution was to send an email out to you all as donators and to update you all on the situation. Furthermore, we have decided that the money be donated to Dar al Quran. Dar al Quran is an Islamic community organization in New Zealand, we provide Islamic learning and work as a community organisation. For more details see

InshaAllah for anyone who rather wishes a refund of their donation please message us within 7 days and we will work to organise this. Any money not refunded will be donated to Dar al Quran Auckland and still be used for a praiseworthy and beneficial cause. We intended to be as transparent as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We have attempted to manage this situation as best as we were able, forgive us for any shortcomings.
