Who Are We and Why is MSA Needed?
The OSU Muslim Students' Association serves 5,000+ Muslim students across the Ohio State campuses. In today's troubling times, it is vital that the Muslim youth are provided with a vibrant community to foster their deen and build life-long companionship founded on our core principles. MSA-OSU provides religious services, advocates on behalf of Muslim students on campus, and provides opportunities for students to give back to their community. MSA-OSU provides a “home away from home” for our students hailing from across Ohio and out of state. It is a community where Muslim students can feel comfortable growing and engaging their campus in a focused manner. As an organization, MSA-OSU adds a valuable voice to OSU that speaks for its Muslim students, seeks to dispel harmful myths, and is committed to broadening horizons.
We are in serious need of funds to continue holding programming, provide meals during Ramadan, and build our presence on campus. Our strategic vision for the 2024-2025 school year has a comprehensive plan to build upon past successes and elevate our MSA to more than just a “club”, but rather a masjid on campus.
Our Goals:
Sponsor five food kits for Project Downtown!
This will provide basic supplies for five individuals in need through our Project Downtown initiative.
