Among the greatest challenges faced by the Blind community is the limited access to religious education, particularly the Quran. The success of Quran training in Braille depends heavily on the availability of qualified teachers. However, in reality, the number of teachers capable of providing this training is still significantly low.
Many the blinds in remote areas struggle to access Braille training easily, resulting in not only an inability to read the Quran but also a hindrance in comprehensively studying Islam, similar to their sighted counterparts.
This situation persists, exacerbated by the increasing number of the blind in Indonesia, currently estimated to be around 4 million.
Filantra invites you to become a donor in providing Braille Quran reading training for the blind. Filantra has several supported communities of the blind in critical locations that urgently need Braille Quran reading training. We will provide instructors to teach them periodically.
One of our communities is located in Purbalingga, Central Java, where 20 the blind people struggle to read the Braille Quran due to the absence of teachers.
"I really hope someone can teach me the Quran. Even though I can't see, at least I can feel and read the Quran to get closer to Allah," said Ms. Weni, a member of Filantra's the blind community.
We aim to support them with:

- Training to recite the Braille Quran
- Food packages
- Braille writing tools
Sadaqa Jariya
