Helping the underprivileged is one of the noblest virtues. In fact, the principle of helping in goodness has been explained in many verses of the Quran and hadith, and applied in the life of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and his companions.
In a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad SAW said:
"The hand that is above is better than the hand that is below" (HR Muslim).
and you can gain more privileges when you help the needy, and you gain glory in the sight of Allah SWT.
