Transform Lives with Clean Water in Uganda: Join Our Water Well Initiative

In the heart of Uganda, in the regions of Pallisa, Butalenja, Budaka, and Butebo, communities are facing an urgent crisis. The lack of clean water sources has led to a relentless battle against waterborne diseases, impacting the health and wellbeing of thousands.

Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet, for far too many in these regions, it remains a distant dream. Polluted sources, poor sanitation, and contaminated water have created a dire situation, with devastating consequences.

Human Initiative, an organization committed to sustainable development, is taking a bold step to provide clean water to these communities. We propose the construction of six boreholes in six villages, a lifeline for over 8,500 people. This initiative is a beacon of hope for the people of Mbale, East Uganda.

Project Details:

• Start Date: As soon as funds are available
• Completion Date: Within 4 months from fund availability
• Beneficiaries: 8,500 people

The available tap water in these communities is scarce, reaching only a few, and mainly during school hours. This leaves thousands without clean drinking water. Children attend school without access to clean water, impacting their health and education. Waterborne diseases, jaundice, diarrhea, and gastroenteritis are rampant due to contaminated water sources. The situation is dire, particularly for women, girls, and children who walk long distances to fetch water from contaminated streams and swallow wells.
