Three-year-old Taqwa Khan, a young girl from Buner, has been living in a world of silence since the day she was born. Taqwa’s parents, concerned about their daughter’s inability to hear, sought medical advice when she turned one. After a series of tests, it was determined that Taqwa was experiencing sensorineural hearing loss, a condition that prevents her from perceiving sound. The doctors recommended a life-transforming solution for Taqwa: cochlear implant surgery.
