This Ramadan, help me raise money to support women & children find safety & shelter at Nisa Homes
She needs you now more than ever. During these difficult times we need to heal together.

With the COVID-19 crisis, we are all being tested in numerous ways. Financially, emotionally, spiritually, socially. The list is endless. Each of us are being tested to some degree.
It therefore becomes critical that we not forget the vulnerable women and children who are now stuck in their homes with an abuser with no reprieve. Since the COVID crises, domestic violence rates have tripled, and shelters around the world are in more need now than ever before. Nisa Homes alone has seen an increase of at least double calls with over 400 calls coming in a week on average!
Although we may feel that we shouldn't give during a time like this, we need to remind ourselves that Allah SWT our source of sustenance and provision will take care of us, as long as we take care of eachother.
What is Nisa Homes?
Nisa Homes is the largest group of transitional homes (long term shelters) for Immigrant, Refugee and Muslim women who are fleeing domestic abuse, experiencing homelessness or forced resettlement. We provide women with a safe space and services to help them get back on their feet and restart their lives.
Where Will Your Donation Go?
Your donation will help to continue running the homes across Canada in providing shelter and services for women and children from immigrant, refugee and muslim backgrounds escaping homelessness and domestic violence.
Is This Campaign Zakat Eligible?
Yes, Nisa Homes is a zakatable project (and a project of the National Zakat Foundation), as such when you donate you can select if you would like your donation to go especially for Zakah purposes and if so it will be used for such.
Why Now?
Since the Co-vid crisis began, Nisa Homes has seen an increase of at least double the calls with 400 calls a week on average. Women and children are stuck at home with their abusers and no escape. They need your help!

Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and in the Hereafter. Allah helps the servant as long as he helps his brother.....” (Muslim)
